  9.    Welcome to the preview edition of CINEMA 4D for
  10.    Windows 95 and Windows NT computers; the most exciting
  11.    raytracing development of the 90s.
  12.  
  13.    In this document you will find information about this CD,
  14.    together with installation instructions. Please read
  15.    this document carefully.
  16.  
  17.    On the CD are several folders:
  18.  
  19. 1. CINEMA_4D
  20.  
  21.    This folder contains the preview edition of CINEMA 4D
  22.    along with sample scenes, textures and materials. The
  23.    preview edition has all the functions of the full
  24.    version, but Save is disabled.
  25.  
  26. 1.1 Installation
  27.  
  28.    CINEMA 4D can be launched directly from CD but, in order
  29.    to view all the sample scenes, it will be necessary to
  30.    install CINEMA on to your hard disk. To do this simply
  31.    copy the CINEMA_4D folder to your hard disk using
  32.    Explorer.
  33.  
  34.    The entire contents of the CINEMA_4D folder will
  35.    require about 30Mb of free hard disk space.
  36.  
  37. 1.2 De-Installation
  38.  
  39.    To remove CINEMA 4D from your hard disk simply delete
  40.    the CINEMA_4D folder.
  41.  
  42. 1.3 Quickstart Tutorial
  43.  
  44.    We have prepared a detailed Quickstart tutorial that
  45.    will show you the power of CINEMA 4D. You can read and
  46.    print the "Quickstart.pdf" file using Adobe Acrobat
  47.    Reader. See below if you do not have Adobe Acrobat
  48.    Reader installed on your computer.

  52. 2. Acrobat Reader Install
  53.  
  54.    Adobe Acrobat Reader is an easy-to-use viewer that
  55.    enables you to view and print documents. Acrobat Reader
  56.    can be found inside the Acrobat Reader Install folder;
  57.    open this folder, double-click on the "ar32e30.exe" file
  58.    icon and then follow the on-screen prompts.

  60.    Once Acrobat Reader has been installed, you'll find
  61.    detailed information on how to use the program in the
  62.    Acrobat directory.

  66. 3. Examples
  67.  
  68.    This folder contains many animations and pictures, all
  69.    built and rendered with CINEMA 4D. The full version of
  70.    CINEMA 4D includes most of these examples as detailed
  71.    scene files.

  73.    Files with the extension "MOV" are Apple QuickTime movies,
  74.    those with an extension "AVI" are Windows movies.
